Isotopes and Imaging
The New Mexico Center for Isotopes in Medicine (NMCIM) and the UNM Cancer Research and Treatment Center (UNM CRTC) are co-hosting this workshop for members of the New Mexico Consortium (NMC- UNM, NMT, NMSU), the Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS), the Los Alamos National Laboratory, collaborating academic institutions, state and federal agencies, and radiopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical development companies interested in partnerships.

Who Should Attend:
- Members of the NMC IAS, academic and private partners interested in isotopes and imaging for the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
- Scientists and clinicians interested in radiopharmaceutical and drug development.
- Graduate and professional students interested in careers or research opportunities in the area of nuclear medicine and radiophamaceuticals.
- Science and research directors at state, federal, university and corporate levels.
- Policy makers and regulators interested in Economic Development in New Mexico
Goals of the Workshop
- To identify needs for medical isotope production and radiopharmaceutical development to support cancer imaging and therapy.
- To build collaborations between UNM, LANL, IAS and various academic and industrial partners in the area of medical radiopharmaceuticals, preclinical and clinical imaging.
- To define a process for strategic planning to take advantage of unique opportunities in New Mexico for the development of the medical isotopes industry.
